Single Email client in 3 different OS.

May 30, 2008

I’ve installed my laptop to boot into 3 OSes; Ubuntu,XP,Vista. Now for comfortability eventhough I’m login  on my ubuntu OS I have managed to open My Email client with the same inbox on what I have in VISTA and XP.

Here is what I’ve done. Because Linux can read the NTFS format you can install thunderbird either at XP or Vista. I observed that thunderbird even on linux and Microsoft environment has the same packaging. It uses  MSF format to wrap their packages. Now on the Account settings of each thunderbird of different OS. You have to point it to the one you have thunderbird defaultly installed. So every now and then you don’t have to log out of your OS and restart your laptop just to be able to get your emails intact.

Happy Hacking..
